Terin has always loved all things aquatic and has been involved in freshwater research for over 15 years. She has held positions in both academic and non-profit settings and has been involved in research projects ranging from studying invertebrate communities, fisheries tagging, recapture studies, habitat use, mapping, to populations surveys. Terin has extensive fisheries field experience across Canada in both marine and freshwater environments, including sampling fish in the high arctic. Currently, she is working on issues of fish health and population identification in a variety of fish species. Terin was a member of the research management committee for the ArcticNET National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Centre of Excellence. She has served as a reviewer for peer reviewed journals and presented her research at several national and international conferences. Currently, she is in the final stages of completing her Ph.D. on Arctic charr.
