Joel has a long history volunteering with environmental restoration projects. From his youth, with the Credit River Pollution Probe in the70’s and 80’s, to Beaver River enhancement projects in conjunction with the MNR in the 80’s and 90’s. He has volunteered his time in British Columbia for the Campbell River Salmon Enhancement and Quadra Island Stewardship Society’s Stream Enhancement programs. As an Aquaculture Technician, Joel maintained hatchery operations involving salmonids and managed a private hatchery operating a put-and-take Walleye fishery in northern Ontario. Joel is pleased to be a part of the RiverStone team! Primarily working in the graphics department producing imaging for reports, he never turns down an opportunity to assist with background data collection, and field programs. Joel has experience in large and small-scale development projects, including aggregate resources, throughout Ontario. He has assisted with natural environment applications for aggregate licenses and extensions. His diverse skill set includes: Species at Risk surveys and monitoring, identification of significant wildlife habitat, fisheries assessments, wildlife habitat mapping, tree inventories and wetland monitoring.
