Permitting Case Study - Giofam Quarry

RiverStone completed detailed surveys, including radio telemetry studies, for multiple Species at Risk on lands proposed for a new quarry near Sebright, ON.
RiverStone successfully developed avoidance, overall benefit, and associated monitoring plans for multiple Species at Risk.
Using data from our detailed field studies and through consultation with staff from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, RiverStone negotiated and obtained a 17(2)(c) permit (Overall Benefit Permit) under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 for Blanding’s Turtle, Whip-poor-will, and Eastern Hog-nosed Snake.
